Europe’s steady growth into an attractive arena for venture capitalists has been well documented. As companies continue to expand globally, they are searching for new opportunities in Europe. Firms are realizing a presence in Europe will lead to opening into a less competitive market, a source of additional profits and a differentiating factor in the market. A recent exhibition in Europe brought several venture capitalist together, in order to discuss the growing european venture capitalist market.
Robert Goldberg, a partner at YL Ventures who traveled from San Francisco for the conference, said Europe lacks “early-stage” venture capital. “That’s why we’re here” he said. “There are incredible educational centers (in Europe) and unbelievable entrepreneurial spirit, but now there needs to be a little bit of energy and capital to be provided to foster that.” To read the full article click here.
